PackRat Custom Cooler, White | Diabetes Management
PackRat Custom Cooler is designed to store all that you need to manage your diabetes on a go, while preventing overheating of insulin. It accommodates a blood glucose meter, a lancing device, an insulin pen, and includes a box for storing insulin pen needles, lancets, and alcohol swabs. The case size is 154 mm (6-1/16 inch) long, 102 mm (4 inch) wide, 36 mm (1-7/16 inch) thick, and accommodates a 125 x 75 mm (5 x 3 inch) ice pack. It comes with the cap for an insulin pen, the container for test strips, the lid of the internal storage box, and the lid for the ice pack compartment. This eco-friendly product is made of biodegradable plastic.
Sizing
This case will be customized to accommodate your favorite blood glucose meter and lancing device. In general, PackRat Custom Cooler can accommodate a meter up to 102 mm (4 inch) long, 50 mm (1-15/16 inch) wide, and 16 mm (5/8 inch) thick, and a lancing device up to 110 mm (4-5/16 inch) long, 20 mm (13/16 inch) wide, and 16 mm (5/8 inch) thick.
Use
A blood glucose meter and a lancing device must be inserted by sliding, otherwise the holding grips may get damaged. The cap for an insulin pen, the container for test strips, and the lid of the internal storage box are detachable. To remove the cap or the container, rotate it clockwise until the connection pins fully clear the semicircular grooves, then pull it toward the middle of the case. To attach the cap or the container, insert it so that the connection pins align with the semicircular grooves, then rotate it counterclockwise. To open the lid of the internal box, slide it towards the middle of the case; slide it back to close it. To remove the lid, slide it out towards the middle of the case; to attach it, insert it into the box grooves and slide it in. To remove the lid of the ice pack compartment, slide it towards the bottom of the case; to attach it, insert it into the box grooves and slide it in. For best results, freeze the ice pack inside of the ice pack compartment with the lid closed.
